Thanks for sharing that perspective, I hear you wanting to respect others' boundaries. I've had a bit of a difference experience, even in Iceland, that often people are open, even eager, for deeper connection. But I think you're adding a good layer here, attunement to response. Some people might not be open to more than small talk and we need to be open and receptive to that, too.
